ISO 898-1 2009 and 1999

The new standard EN ISO 898-1 of 04/2009 is creating major problems because it contains important changes for the screws class 8.8 and beyond. The new standard does not provide for marking different consequences only additional documents will make the difference between new and old standard.
The customer has the right to request screws according new standard but must already specify in the request for quote.
Taking into account the important stocks, according ISO 1999, near producers and distributors following the crisis, this demand will reduce the choice of suppliers.

EN ISO 898-1 07/2009
